About Me

This page focuses on some more general information concerning myself.

General Information

I am a Canadian girl called Julie, born August 18th, 1988. I am the youngest of a family of five children and I have three sisters and one brother.

I was diagnosed around the age of 13 as having the Asperger Syndrome, which is a disease near autism. More recently, I have had increasing signs of obsession-compulsion. I also have depressive tendencies. I am just starting a therapy as of June 2007.

I just finished studying in Human Sciences in college (May 2006). I will eventually study in web programming or something similar. Another of my passions is writing.

Physical Appearance

I am beautiful/pretty/cute. I have straight, brown hair and brown-green eyes. I let my hair grow to about my shoulders (a little longer now). I used to have a bang, but I started letting it grow a couple of years ago.

I stand to an intimidating 5'3" (5 feet and 3 inches). I am slim, but not excessively, weighing about 115 pounds. Of course, this depends on the season, period of the month and amount of cookies eaten.

I have beautiful hands and thick, white nails. My feet are also pretty small. I don't really have a detested part of my body, like so many people do. I even like my nose, although it's relatively big.

I am not a very photogenic person and thus rarely like pictures of myself. I tend to be very red on pictures, as I blush easily.

Me & Computers

The first computer my family ever owned ran on DOS and had a yellow and back screen. It used large floppy disks as well as smaller ones. We used it pretty much only to play Blockout, a game I could describe as a 3-d version of Tetris.

I started being more interested in the internet — after we got a Windows 95 computer — after watching Titanic. Obsessed by the subject, I spent hours and hours looking at fansites about it. Of course, I ended up wanting to make my own. I called it Rose DeWitt Bukater's World. I have abandonned it now. It still exists, but it has not been updated for two or three years.

It was coded in a combination of tables and iframes, and featured the same content as pretty much every other Titanic fansite at the time.

However, as I was browsing fansites, I also ended up discovering personal websites. I also released a personal site around the same time as my fansite. I called it AKA Juliet Clark, Juliet Clark being sort of a pseudonym for me. All of this took place back in the fall of 2002.

In February 2003, I decided it was time for a change. I started my personal site from scratch and renamed it Immortal Dreams. This site, although it changed URL several times, remained pretty much the same.

I once decided to change the name to In The End, adding or removing content as I felt like it. Unruly Julie, however, was started from scratch, although it does take some content from my ancient sites..

Another wonderful thing I discovered while browsing fansites and personal sites was fanlistings, back when they were located on thefanlistings.com. I soon became addicted to them. I now have joined over 3500 and own a bit more than 20.

I have the intention of studying in web programming and, of course, of working in that field.

Me & Necessary Objects

Like everyone on this planet, or so I hope, there are objects I could not live without. The most obvious of these is my computer, which I can spend hours a day with. He's cute, useful, fun and, at times, an utter loss of time. As he is such a wonderful creation and I have no life whatsoever beside him and my friends, and also because I enjoy him enough not to call him "it", I have dedicated a page to him.

But this little thing my cat cannot comprehend even in the slightest is not all that matters to my self. I am not overly materialistic but I can get pretty attached to certain objects.

My bedroom suffers greatly from lack of furniture. Again I am an obsessive list-maker, I have made a a list of my DVDs and VHSs and a list of my CDs.

Eric, my boyfriend owns a Nintendo DS, which I can't spend a day without using. My favorite games are probably the Castlevania series and, more recently, Final Fantasy. We also own a GameCube and a PlayStation.

I usually walk around with a blue notebook and a purple pen, to note things that come to my mind when I'm away from home.

My Fears

I'm afraid of a lot of things and my fears often have a tendency to get confused with obsessions.

I am always afraid of w.ms and, as you see, can't even write their name out. When I see some on the sidewalk, I walk as far as I can from them. I can't change trash cans because of a traumatism related to this fear. When I see garbage bags, I also walk as far from them as possible.

While I like butterflies, caterpillars and most insects scare me. I refuse to touch them and will avoid being near them. Spiders are not insects and I love them.

I'm afraid of talking in public. I once was part of the organization of a show—we had to think of the costumes, the sets, etc. I was supposed to have a part in it, but when I arrived on the sage, I was unable to speak. I panicked, went away from the stage and cried.

Sometimes, I'm still afraid of the dark. I'm still amazed that I am able to sleep with no blind on my window and no door to close my wardrobe.

I just can't bear mirrors in the dark and will refuse looking into one.

Heights make me very nervous. I however loved being in a plane once my nervosity went away.
